Brian J Majeska
Mr. Majeska has over twenty five years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Technology and Innovation in the road and chemicals industry. He has held leadership roles at Koch Industries where as Vice President of Technology he along with a team of professionals led the launch of numerous technologies including the introduction of NovaChip in the U.S. Additionally, Mr. Majeska worked with the leadership team in setting up asphalt businesses or joint ventures in Brazil, China, and Mexico.
Upon the divestiture of the Koch Materials business, Brian became the Vice President of Sales, Technology, and Business Development at SemMaterials. The business grew dynamically during his leadership stint where new approaches, such as, voice of the customer, consultative selling, & market segmentation were joined to the fast growing business.
Upon the break-up of SemGroup, Mr. Majeska with a team of entrepreneurs, started Majeska & Associates in 2010 which was later sold to MeadWestvaco’s (MWV) Chemical Division (Now Ingevity) where he took on the role of President of InVia Pavement Technologies and led the business with year over year growth of 60%. In 2015 Brian was asked to lead the Ingevity Innovation process at a corporate level, and returned to Charleston, SC, where he had previously been Industry Manager of the Construction Chemicals business in the mid-1990’s.
In April of this year, Mr. Majeska left Ingevity to form Adventus Material Strategies with Dave Henderson and Joseph Lorenc. The team is passionate about creating creating customer value in marketing, commercialization, & technical strategies into industry.
Brian graduated from The Ohio State University, in 1988 and lives with his family in Charleston, SC.
Joseph J Lorenc
Mr. Lorenc has almost thirty years of experience in the chemicals, monomers, polymers, and resin businesses with expertise in commercialization of new technologies and expansion of businesses through the creation of effective marketing strategies.
Mr. Lorenc spent twenty years working in various roles at Total Chemie, a $3 Billion the subsidiary chemical business of Total. Joe was the business manager of the Norsolene resins business unit. During this stint, Joe led a strategic effort to discover and penetrate adjacent segments in the adhesive and coatings segments. This change in direction took the segment from break-even to high sustained profitability. Mr. Lorenc was then promoted to Business Manager of Sartomer, a wholly owned business of Total Chemie. The Sartomer product offering is concentrated in the oligomer materials segment, and Joe focused the business development efforts in electronics, coatings, film, and adhesive segments. Additionally, he successfully integrated the Croda and the Akzo Nobel Photocure business units.
During this period of business development, Mr. Lorenc embraced the Wharton Discovery Driven Planning Process which yield excellent results with managing changing market dynamics both internally and externally.
In 2009 Mr. Lorenc founded Fieldstone Consulting which later became part of Majeska & Associates. Joe played a pivotal role in aligning client needs and finding new market opportunities for technology. As the Vice President of Business Development, Joe successfully sourced new polymers, rheological modifiers, and surfactants into the construction industry. Upon MWV‘s acquisition of Majeska & Associates (InVia Pavement Technologies), Joe’s took on the role of Vice President of Strategic Supply for InVia.
Mr. Lorenc graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 where he also played football. He and his family reside in Philadelphia, PA.
